about

When "The Easter Egg" is gone and the blackbirds are singing, you walk through the gloomy "Lichtenhain", performed by Rainer Sauer with another Eno/Chillvers app for the iPhone called "Trope".

"My name is Rainer Wolfgang Sauer, but i often use the shortform 'rWs' when I sign things or sounds. And this insignia makes 'Lichtenhain' so unique. I thought about a klangbild, that is so much my song and could never reproduced by someone else without telling the world that it has been created by 'rWs'. And the answer was so easy: buy yourself the 'Trope' app for your iPhone or iPod touch. Open it and then write a 'r" on the touchscreen, than a "W" and at least a "s" ... and you have your own version of 'Lichtenhain'."

Lichtenhain is a a suburb of the town of Jena and Rainer Sauer played it live without additional sounds. What you can hear is the original headphones output of the iPhone without any overdubs. He only added a slight echo effect from one of his YAMAHA EMX 5000 mixer to create the azimuth coordination for the 4-KLANG quadround live sound.
